Why on earth do you choose to work with youth? 

I know how important it is for them to know that someone loves them, believes in them, and cares about what happens in their lives.

"If you don't tell your kids who they are, someone else will." - quote from a famous preacher

What are some of the main things you hope these youth learn?

I want them to learn to put their hope in God. If they will learn to do that above everything else, He will take care of them.  But to be honest, I think I am learning way more from them, then they could ever learn from me. 

Hobbies that you're into?

Shopping, duh! Music, concerts, Ignite stuff

Favorite TV shows? 

Cake Boss, Man vs. food, Seinfeld

Favorite foods?

Mexican Food! Paradise Pie at Chili's is the bomb.

Fried Green Tomatoes, Radio, Fun with Dick & Jane, Pirates of the Caribbean

So Long Insecurity -Beth Moore (every girl should read it), The Confident Woman -Joyce Meyer, anything by Joel Osteen, Save Me From Myself -Brian Head Welch

What advice would you give youth about relationships?

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Prov. 4:23

What advice would you give youth about temptation?

Prov. 4:23 -- my default verse, applies to everything. Get an accountability partner.

What advice would you give youth about spending time with God?

As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he could do the impossible. But as soon as he looked at the waves, he sank. You’ve got to keep your attention focused on Him.

David Crowder Band, Tenth Avenue North, Fireflight, Demon Hunter, Decyfer Down, Hillsong United, Flyleaf, Kari Jobe, Oh Sleeper, Skillet, Seventh Day Slumber, Kim Walker, etc

What do you see yourself doing in 5 days?

Juggling family, church, school, homework, and chores successfully!

What about 5 years?

Working as a nurse, going on mission trips, and enjoying my family

Favorite sport's team?

I'm not really into sports but I would have to say the Burleson Elks because my kids went to school there and I know a lot of other kids there too.

Favorite athlete and why?

Tyler T., because he has more integrity than any athlete I know of.

 only bowled once in my life and I'm pretty sure I wasn't that good

I would eat the roaches because,  1. I am terrified of sharks  2. bald would not be a good look for me and  3. It would totally freak out my son, Noah!!! He hates bugs!
