|Servant Leader - Jonathan|
Why on earth do you choose to work with youth?
Because I’m a BIG kid! At least that’s what I tell myself! I think it’s real important for youth to have mentors. They need people who are transparent and real; who can share their life experiences, in hopes that they will make sounder decisions. Wish someone would’ve mentored me..so that’s the biggest reason for me to work with them.
What are some of the main things you hope these youth learn?
I hope they learn they don’t have to follow the “in crowd”, but to embrace whom God has made them. He is the Creator, so He doesn’t create anything wrong or flawed. I want them to know they were created for a purpose, namely that their life would glorify God. I hope they learn they won’t be young long, so enjoy it while you can and pay attention to wise counsel.

What advice would you give youth about relationships?
Well boyfriend/girlfriend…wait on the Lord. Just spend all your time and energy serving Him. Other relationships, like friends and family, keep them close. And with regards to friends, watch who you hang with. Bad company corrupts good character.
What advice would you give youth about temptation?
Temptation is a beast, but God is faithful and stronger! Cling to Christ by submitting to His authority, resist the devil, and he will flee. Hide the Word of God in your heart, so that you might not sin against Him.
What advice would you give youth about spending time with God?
Spend as much time as you can with Him. He’s the lover of your soul, knows you inside out and loves you more than anyone, including yourself. Spend time, because He desires it and when no one else wants to hear you talk, God will! He’ll never turn away from you because HE loves you!
