Servant Leader - Kristi

Why on earth do you choose to work with youth?

I choose to work with youth because I believe they have a lot to deal with at this stage in life. This age group is, and can be a difficult one if the right people are not in their lives helping and encouraging them through many of their ups and downs. Many people believe the enemy is after the youth, and I believe that’s only true if God is after them more. I’m on God’s side and I want to help reach as many youth as possible so they may know the TRUTH and be set free of any bondage or strongholds they may encounter.

What are some of the main things you hope these youth learn?

I hope and pray that the youth learn who God is and know Him for themselves. Not just what they hear on Sundays and Wednesdays, but have a RELATIONSHIP with Him. He’s the best in the whole world and with Him they will lack nothing.

Being able to fly would be good if it doesn’t make me tired. I would love to travel places and if I could fly for free. That would be great.

What did you love about being a teenager?

I stayed to myself a lot and learned a lot about people by watching how they act and respond to each other in different situations. I never was part of the “in” crowd and didn’t have a desire to be b/c I’d rather be a leader and not a follower.

What did you hate about being a teenager?

At the time, I didn’t like the fact that I was at an older age but still had limits. I had to learn that those limits were just to protect me from harm and danger. Now I’m glad they were there b/c it probably kept me from a lot of trouble.

What is it that you like most about God?

I like that He’s God. He loves like no other. He knows everything about me and what goes on in the world. He’s faithful to His words. He’s a wonderful Father and friend. I don’t deserve Him but I need Him.

How can we be praying for you?

Pray that God continues to have His way in my life as I endeavor to do His Will.
